KSS Lung Cliniq is a proudly Black South African-owned specialist practice dedicated to delivering exceptional respiratory and internal medicine services to the people of Richards Bay and surrounding communities.

Established in 2026 by Dr. Kwenzakwenkosi Siyabonga Shange, a Specialist Physician and Pulmonologist, the practice is founded on the principles of clinical excellence, evidence-based medicine, compassion and community-centred care.

Born and raised in Esikhawini, Richards Bay. Dr. Shange's passion for medicine was inspired by the community that nurtured him. His lifelong ambition has been to return home and provide world-class healthcare to the people who shaped his journey.

He has gained extensive clinical experience across five South African provinces — Westen Cape, Eastern Cape, KwaZulu Natal, Limpopo and Gauteng. He began his medical journey in the Western Cape as a student, and as part of his learning he participated in community outreach programs which was led by the Rural Support Network with a focus on the Eastern Cape province. He then moved to be an intern at Ngwelezana Hospital in KwaZulu Natal, where he later became an Acting Head of the Department of Internal Medicine after completing his training as Specialist Physician at UKZN. Before completing his subspeciality training in Pulmonology in Gauteng, he briefly worked in Limpopo as a Specialist Physician serving local communities.

During the COVID-19 pandemic he played a pivotal leadership role as lead physician at Ngwelezana Hospital, working alongside Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) to strengthen patient care through the second and third waves.
